It’s one of those piazzas in Rome where you will walk at least once a day, if not more. It never fails to bedazzle tourists and passers-by, but not many take the time to stop here and actually visit it.
I’m talking about Piazza del Popolo, where every Rome traveller walks past but mainly to enter the historic centre rather than explore its landmarks. And that’s a pity because Piazza del Popolo is not only a crossing point but a true historical place packed with monuments and masterpieces.
To my clients, I always suggest starting sightseeing from here rather than hastily walking out to reach popular spots like the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.
